Pre-wire for future

Not everyone will want or have the budget available to install all the systems they would like to from the outset. They might also have a desire for the finished property to be able to grow with them as their needs change, such as their smaller children growing up to be teenagers, so we can implement a pre-wire infrastructure into the fabric of the property during the construction phase.


This pre-wire infrastructure can then support all the initial connectivity requirements as well as ensuring that devices/technologies can be easily added at a later stage; as and when either budget or the circumstances require.


An example could be as follows: as part of a multi-room audio implementation, you may have a guest bedroom where you don't need/want to install any speakers until a later timeframe, so we can simply install the relevant speaker cables to a convenient hidden location in that room that can be easily accessed in the future as and when music in that room is required.

Great Wi-Fi

"We are planning a large property - how do we ensure that there are no Wi-Fi dead spots?"


Many Smart Home devices need to communicate with other devices, within the home or to Internet based platforms, as part of their day-to-day functions. This means that robust connectivity to the homes local network and for the reliable operation of all (these) devices.


Numerous modern construction materials can actually block Wi-Fi signals that spread around a property. When you combine this with the fact that having many 'wireless' devices on the same Wi-Fi network creates a situation where they are all competing for the available bandwidth, network congestion is common.


This means that we recommend that you should in the first instance always look to implement a 'wired' connection to all devices and only rely on a 'wireless' connection in those situations where there is no practical way to install a wire.


A great Wi-Fi network takes some careful planning. Minimising the numbers of devices on the Wi-Fi networking will reduce the congestion as well as anticipating areas of the construction that inhibit Wi-Fi sign propagation.
