Challenges for UK Developers

With Developers facing increasing administrative overhead costs associated with securing planning permission, as well as rising constructions costs for developments, they are increasing looking for optimal new ways to efficiently add additional revenues to their business.

Whilst also adding a unique selling points to their developments over other developments in the local area.

Evolving Consumer Demands of those Buying Homes in UK

The recent CEDIA ‘Smart Moves; The Role of Technology in New Homes’ 1 report identified that:

79% of survey respondents are eager to integrate smart technology into their new homes, for a variety of purposes.

“The most sought-after features include TV and entertainment systems (77%), security (75%), heating (68%), smart lighting (66%), and multi-room audio (58%). 37% would also invest in EV charging, and 12% are interested in accessibility support.”

It’s not just about the increasing expectation of the consumers for the inclusion of smart home technologies within new homes. It is also about reducing the risk of losing a potential sale to a competitor who does offer smart home technologies in their developments when you don’t.

Optional Extra Value Add Solutions

Depending on the specific property types within individual developments, Automated Spaces is able to provide a wide variety of solutions, typically these will be from any of the categories shown below.

Your clients will be able to explore the options available to them using our on-line interactive smart home specification budgeting tool. If the development is being sold off plan prior to construction then we can customise the tool to be specific for each development site.

This means we will reference and display the individual floor plans, room names and elevations for each property as the client explores the various options available for that particular plot. It also means we can pre-design certain elements allowing your clients to quickly add those items e.g., we can create CCTV design specific to each plot based on the entry points, we can create accurate quotations for motorised blinds based on the dimensions of each window shown on the elevation drawings, etc.

This will really help them to imagine themselves living in their home on your development.
